Step by Step Guide to becoming a RES
1. Check Your Eligibility
i. Must be at least 21 years old. , ii. Must have a minimum of 4 GCE ‘O’ Level passes or equivalent. , iii. Must not hold a moneylender’s licence and not be an employee, director, or partner of a licensed moneylender.
Even Singapore Permanent Residents and foreigners can be eligible.
2. Apply for the RES Course
There are a list of CEA approved course providers. Get in touch with any at your convenience to register. Options for part time or full time courses are available. Course fees do apply, and they are SkillsFuture and UTAP claimable.
3. Apply for the RES Exam
The exam consists of 2 papers and is held 3 times a year over 3 weekends. NTUC LearningHub will handle and manage all examination registration and enquiries.
Take note that seats are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis and there is no guarantee of seats for applicants.
4. Register with an Estate Agency
Your results will be sent in 4-6 weeks.
